Emigrant Certificate

The online Emigrant Certificate request can be made through the Consular Portal App or through the web browser. Follow these steps:

1. Choose the type of Order:

  • Normal Order: €10.40 (processing within one working day).


2. Attach documents:

  • Proof of residence abroad for more than 1 year.
    This may be a residence certificate, proof of tax payment, social security declaration or other recognized institution.


3. Confirm the data:

  • Check the data entered in the previous steps.
    Enter your passport or identification card details, even if they have expired.


4. Make Payment:

  • Payment Methods: MBway, Multibanco, Visa, Vinti4, PayPal, MasterCard, American Express.

To monitor the status of your application, you can always access the"My Orders"area on the Consular Portal App. The document will be valid and available digitally in your account on the Consular Portal in PDF format ready for printing.

Any Cape Verdean citizen residing abroad can request the Emigrant Certificate online.
