  • Definitive Return Certificate

    The import of personal goods and equipment, including a car, made upon definitive return to the country by non-residents is exempt from customs duties, considering as such for this purpose individuals of Cape Verdean nationality or origin who have habitual residence abroad for a period of more than four years as a result of a personal or professional relationship. It costs 40 euros

  • Emigrant Certificate

    Citizens may need an emigrant certificate to prove that they reside abroad.

  • Emigrant Investor Certificate

    Citizens may need an emigrant investor certificate to prove that they have an investment in Cape Verde.

  • Life and Identity Certificate

    Citizens may need a Life and Identity Certificate upon request from a public or private institution in Cape Verde.

  • Consular Registration Certificate

    The consular registration certificate is an electronic document that proves consular registration in a diplomatic mission and was adapted to replace the previous consular card. The certificate contains the citizen's biographical identification information, the photograph and signature contained in the citizen's file in the National Civil Identification System (SNIAC).

  • Request a second copy of your Tax Identification Number (NIF)

    Requesting a duplicate of the Tax Identification Number (TIN) is necessary in case of loss, misplacement or damage to the original document. The NIF is essential for identification in financial transactions, purchasing goods and services, and opening bank accounts.
